Maurice's story

The story

Commissioning trials from several perfumer-creators without a fixed brief, he asked ten of Paris's most elegant women to rank the results — then chose the one they liked least. Working closely with perfumer Jean Guichard, Roger's gamble produced Poison, the first Dior perfume not to carry the founder's own name.
