Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert by Bvlgari was launched in 1992, and it is crafted by the renowned perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena. The composition opens with a vibrant burst of citrus — bergamot, lemon, and mandarin orange — which immediately sets a fresh and invigorating tone. This bright opening transitions into a heart of green tea, jasmine, and lily-of-the-valley, creating a delicate balance between aromatic freshness and floral softness. The base notes of cedar, sandalwood, and amber provide warmth and depth, grounding the scent in earthy familiarity.

Application Tips
Apply this fragrance in light layers — its citrus top notes are bright but fleeting. The base notes emerge after about an hour, so it's best to give it time to develop on your skin rather than layering heavily at once. This scent reads well close to the skin, making it ideal for daytime wear.
Jean-Claude Ellena
Founding perfumer · 104 fragrances · French

As a disciple and close friend of the legendary Edmond Roudnitska (creator of “Le Parfum de Thérèse”), Jean-Claude Ellena began his career with a minimalistic approach to perfumery. Since then, he has developed this approach into his own distinctive style, which is continually informed by his elegant and quiet way of being, and has been compared by his contemporaries to watercolor sketches and chamber music. Jean-Claude says that a perfume must be like “a soft caress; nothing must shock, nothing must shout”.Jean-Claude Ellena was born in Grasse into a family of perfumers. His training began at age 17, in the most prestigious laboratories – in Grasse, Paris, New York and Geneva – where he always saw himself as self-taught. Roudnitska’s minimalism never left him, however, and his compositions remain focused around a single ingredient, avoiding repetition.

The hiss of an espresso machine two seconds before the cup arrives, where the aroma of fresh coffee mingles with a hint of green tea and floral notes.
