Launched in 2013 by Xerjoff and crafted by perfumer Chris Maurice, Emery is a complex Oriental Floral fragrance that defies simple categorization. It opens with a bright citrus-aromatic accord featuring Bulgarian Rose and Bergamot, which cuts through the sweetness of the floral heart notes like Egyptian Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang. The rum note adds an unexpected warmth, creating a rich tension between freshness and depth. This is underscored by the woody base of Agarwood (Oud), Vetiver, and Guaiac Wood, which grounds the composition in earthy, smoky undertones.
