Launched in 2015 by Lalique after a decade-long community request, Encre Noire A L'Extreme is the richer, more concentrated counterpart to the original 2006 Encre Noire. Perfumer Nathalie Lorson crafted this woody-aromatic fragrance with a raw intensity that polarizes its wearers but endears it to those who appreciate its rugged cypress-vetiver heart. The scent opens with elemi resin and bergamot, providing a fresh spicy contrast before settling into the rich depths of Haitian vetiver, incense, orris, and benzoin, anchored by smoky sandalwood and patchouli.

Application Tips
One spray is sufficient — the aromatic top notes dissipate quickly, but the vetiver and sandalwood base lingers for hours. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than across a room, so apply it directly onto pulse points.
