Launched in 2014 by Ex Nihilo and crafted by perfumer Quentin Bisch, Fleur Narcotique is a Floral Fruity fragrance that quickly became a sensation. It opens with the bright notes of litchi and bergamot, giving way to a heart of peony and jasmine, before settling into a musky base that reads as both fresh and warm. The composition has been described by Fragrantica critics as an early leader in the 'detergent' or clean-musk trend, generating significant buzz despite more measured long-term critical assessments. Its popularity was further bolstered when celebrity wearers like Hailey Bieber brought renewed attention to the Ex Nihilo brand.
Fleur Narcotique's clean-musk base develops gradually on the skin, so apply it an hour before your outing to allow it to fully bloom. It works well in cooler weather but can also be layered for added warmth during warmer months.
