Launched in 1912 by Guerlain and created by Jacques Guerlain, Fol Arôme is a floral fragrance that marries the freshness of lavender and bergamot with the warmth of jasmine, rose, and orris. This composition opens with an aromatic and fresh spicy blend of lavender and anise, which contrasts beautifully with the soft spiciness of clary sage and marjoram. The heart notes of narcissus and acacia add a delicate floral touch, while the base of musk and vanilla grounds it all in a powdery comfort.

Application Tips
Fol Arôme has a noticeable shift from its fresh opening to its warm base. Apply two sprays for a balanced experience — the aromatic top notes will last about an hour before giving way to the powdery musk and vanilla. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than across a room, so layer it on lightly but confidently.

“When I created Shalimar, I was thinking of the great love stories — of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal.”
Jacques Guerlain is one of the greatest perfumers who ever lived — the man who gave the world Shalimar, Mitsouko, L'Heure Bleue, and Vol de Nuit. As the third-generation perfumer of the House of Guerlain, he elevated the family craft into high art. Working in the legendary Guerlain laboratory on the Champs-Élysées, he drew inspiration from love, literature, and travel to create fragrances of unprecedented emotional depth. Shalimar, inspired by the gardens of the Taj Mahal and his love affair with a woman whose identity remains mysterious, is perhaps the most celebrated perfume in history.
