The story behind the bottle.
Capucine, launched by Fragonard in 2005, is a sophisticated Oriental Floral fragrance that marries the warmth of musk and woods with the freshness of green and citrus notes. The composition opens with bergamot and tea, creating an initial brightness before transitioning into a heart of jasmine and rose. This floral core is enveloped by a base of musky and woody accords, providing a rich and powdery finish that feels both modern and lasting.
Capucine develops best when applied directly to pulse points. The citrus opening is relatively short-lived, so it's essential to let the fragrance breathe for about half an hour before stepping out. This allows the rich musky and woody notes to fully emerge, making it perfect for a day-to-evening transition.
