The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2009 by Fragonard, Étoile is a Floral Fruity fragrance created by perfumer Sonia Constant. It opens with the bright zest of bergamot and red apple, creating an immediate sense of freshness and vibrancy. The heart is dominated by white florals like jasmine, gardenia, and lily-of-the-valley, which bring a delicate sweetness to the composition. This floral bouquet is subtly spiced with ginger, adding a warm, aromatic edge that keeps the scent from feeling overly sweet. The base notes of Virginia cedar, musk, and amber provide a soft, powdery warmth that grounds the entire fragrance.
Étoile has a bright opening that fades within an hour, so applying it in light layers allows the floral heart to shine through. The musky base notes will linger close to your skin for hours, making this fragrance best suited for daytime wear when you want a touch of freshness and warmth.
