Byzantine Amber by Francesca Bianchi was launched in 2023 as a bold statement within the oriental fragrance category. This unisex EDP weaves together rich amber, warm spices, and smoky accords to create an atmosphere that is both ancient and modern. The composition opens with cinnamon and bergamot, which quickly give way to geranium and labdanum, leading into a heart of leather and incense. The base notes of ambergris, benzoin, and styrax anchor the scent in a deep, animalic warmth that evokes the grandeur of Byzantine palaces.
Byzantine Amber has a long-lasting base that builds on skin over time. Start with one light spray; it's best to let the smoky and animalic notes unfold gradually throughout the day. This fragrance reads better close to the skin, so avoid layering heavily for maximum impact.
