The story behind the bottle.
Grand Soir by Maison Francis Kurkdjian is an Oriental fragrance launched in 2016 that has quickly become one of the most revered amber scents on the market. The composition opens with a bright citrus-aromatic note, featuring orange and lavender, before diving into a heart of Spanish labdanum and siam benzoin. It settles into a base of amber, vanilla, tonka bean, musk, and cedar, creating a warm and enveloping dry down that has been praised for its exceptional longevity and refined sweetness. The fragrance is widely regarded in niche enthusiast circles as one of the finest amber fragrances available today.
Given its exceptional longevity, one or two sprays are sufficient to ensure the fragrance lasts well into the evening. The amber and vanilla base notes develop slowly over time, so it's best applied closer to skin rather than sprayed liberally across a room.
