Launched in 1996 by Profumum Roma, Fumidus is a woody fragrance created by the Durante family—Felice, Luciano, and Maria. This composition opens with an aromatic and smoky accord that immediately evokes the warmth of aged whiskey, leading into a base of rich leather and earthy undertones. The scent reads as both rugged and refined, capturing the essence of a well-worn library filled with the musty scent of old books and polished wooden shelves.

Application Tips
Fumidus has a strong projection and develops fully on skin over an hour. Apply one or two sprays to your pulse points for best results, allowing the rich leathery base notes to bloom gradually throughout the day.

Felice Durante is one of four siblings — with Giuseppe, Luciano, and Maria — who co-founded Profumum Roma in 1996, descendants of grandfather Celestino Durante, who returned to Rome after World War II and built a career in perfumery there. Dissatisfied with the increasingly restrictive, synthetic direction of commercial perfumery in the early 1990s, the siblings launched their own house specializing in high-concentration extraits evoking the city of Rome.
