Launched in 1962 by Guerlain and created by Jean-Paul Guerlain, Chant d'Aromes is a floral masterpiece that blends aldehydic brightness with the warmth of spicy and woody notes. The fragrance opens with an invigorating burst of citrus and aldehydes before diving into a heart rich in gardenia, jasmine, and ylang-ylang. Clove and vetiver lend depth to the composition, grounding it with earthy spice and woodsy richness, while vanilla and amber provide a sweet, comforting finish.

Jean-Paul Guerlain is the fourth and final generation of Guerlain family perfumers, a lineage that spans nearly two centuries of French fragrance history. His masterpieces — Habit Rouge, Vétiver, Samsara, and Héritage — are cornerstones of the perfume canon. Jean-Paul brought a more modern, sometimes daring sensibility to the Guerlain tradition, while always maintaining the house's legendary commitment to the finest raw materials.
