Hugo Dark Blue, launched in 1999 by Hugo Boss and crafted by perfumers Alain Astori and Béatrice Piquet, is an Oriental Spicy fragrance that combines the invigorating zest of citrus with the warmth of wood and spices. The composition opens with a bright citrus-aromatic accord featuring grapefruit, orange, lime, and lemon, which gives way to a heart of cardamom, geranium, and sage. This leads into a rich base of mahogany, cedar, vanilla, benzoin, vetiver, and patchouli, creating a warm and earthy finish.
