Where La Vie Est Belle was sweet, enveloping, and built for sensory comfort, Idôle was lean, transparent, and designed for a consumer who associated luxury not with opulence but with effortlessness. The composition by Shyamala Maisondieu, Adriana Medina, and Nadège Le Garlantezec was reportedly the result of testing with thousands of millennials and Gen-Z consumers — a process that, in less skilled hands, would have produced something focus-grouped into blandness. Instead, it produced something surprisingly refined.

The composition opens with a clean, slightly tart accord of bergamot, pear, and pink pepper that establishes the fragrance's modern character: bright, crisp, and entirely free of the fruity sweetness that had defined mainstream feminine launches for the previous decade. The heart introduces rose and jasmine in a combination that is deliberately sheer — these are not the rich, narcotic florals of J'adore or La Vie Est Belle but transparent, almost watery interpretations that feel like a sketch rather than a painting.
