Launched in 2015 by WIDIAN, IV is a collaboration between perfumers Ali Aljaberi and Jean-Claude Astier. This Oriental Vanilla fragrance opens with the bright burst of plum and black currant, setting a fruity and sweet tone that transitions seamlessly into white flowers and rose. The heart of vanilla adds warmth, while musk, leather, and sandalwood create an animalic and powdery base that grounds the composition in earthy richness. IV is neither overly sweet nor too heavy, striking a harmonious balance between its various accords.

Ali Aljaberi, based in Abu Dhabi, grew up around his family's fragrance boutique, opened in 1982. He studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, and with the help of perfumer Jean-Claude Astier founded the brand A J Arabia in 2008, later renamed Widian as its ambitions grew international.
