Launched in 2024, J-Musk by Jinx Smells is a bold and complex fragrance crafted by Arthur Clay Emrick. This composition opens with citrus and pineapple, creating a bright yet surprising contrast to the rich musk at its core. The heart of jasmine sambac and rose adds a sweet floral warmth, while palisander rosewood and blue lotus lend an earthy, almost ethereal quality. As it dries down, natural musk, castoreum, and oud create a deep, animalic base that lingers on the skin.

Application Tips
Apply J-Musk lightly at first; the natural ingredients project powerfully. Allow it to develop on your skin for about 15 minutes before reapplying if you desire more intensity. It’s best suited for daytime to early evening, as its warm and lingering base notes can feel heavy in later hours.

Arthur Clayton Emrick grew up in the Michigan countryside and spent nearly 20 years collecting vintage perfume, starting with Guerlain bottles found at estate sales before discovering niche brands like DS & Durga around 2011. A self-taught perfumer with a background in cooking and brewing, he launched the artisan brand Jinx Smells in 2021 via Kickstarter from Canandaigua, New York, producing ultra-small-batch, ultra-niche fragrances.
