Arthur Clay Emrick
Arthur Clayton Emrick grew up in the Michigan countryside and spent nearly 20 years collecting vintage perfume, starting with Guerlain bottles found at estate sales before discovering niche brands like DS & Durga around 2011. A self-taught perfumer with a background in cooking and brewing, he launched the artisan brand Jinx Smells in 2021 via Kickstarter from Canandaigua, New York, producing ultra-small-batch, ultra-niche fragrances.
