Ilias Ermenidis

Ilias Ermenidis is a perfumer born in Constantinople who spent his early childhood there before moving to Athens; his passion for fragrance began during summer internships at his father's flavors and fragrance factory in Istanbul. He studied at ISIPCA in Paris and became the first perfumer trainee hired by Firmenich, going on to live and work in Paris, Geneva, and New York over a twenty-five-year span before returning to Paris in 2019. He has composed for Gucci, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, and Vera Wang, drawing inspiration from art and opera, and describes himself as an artist in residence at the company he has spent his career with.
