Frank Voelkl's Orris 22, launched in 2023 by Ledda, is an Oriental Floral fragrance that balances the powdery elegance of orris with warm musk and woody notes. The composition opens with pear leaf and freesia, creating a fresh yet delicate floral aura, before diving into the heart where pink pepper adds a subtle spiciness to jasmine and lily of the valley. Orris takes center stage in the base, accompanied by marshmallow for sweetness and sandalwood and moss for earthy depth.
Orris 22 blooms gradually on the skin; two sprays will allow it to develop fully over time. The musk and orris base lasts for hours, so avoid layering with other scents. It pairs well with the warmth of a cozy sweater rather than bright daylight.
