Apply Lost Cause with two sprays to allow it to develop fully on your skin. The green and citrus top notes are bright and fleeting, so you'll want the base notes to come through after about an hour. It’s best for daytime wear when its fresh and warm qualities can shine.

Gil Clavien Giannoni, raised near the Matterhorn in Switzerland, earned a master's in biology from the University of Geneva in 1989 before joining Firmenich as an Assistant Perfumer, working with Tony Morris and Francis Deleamont. She spent three years as a perfumer in Germany and time at Firmenich's Japan office before becoming a principal perfumer at Firmenich in 1997, working across mass-market and fine fragrance.
