Launched in 2017 by Guerlain and crafted by perfumers Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk, Lui is an oriental spicy fragrance that embodies the warmth of French elegance. The composition opens with clove and pear, creating a tension between sweet and spicy notes. This contrast is further accentuated by the heart of carnation and vanilla, which adds a soft floral sweetness. As it settles into its base, benzoin, smoke, leather, woody notes, and musk create an enveloping warmth that reads as smoky and leathery.
