The story behind the bottle.
Modern Poet, launched by Michael Malul London in 2024 and crafted by perfumer Elodie Durande, is an aromatic and citrus-rich fragrance that captures the essence of contemporary sophistication. The composition opens with a crisp blend of gin and citron, giving way to herbal notes like matcha tea and geranium, which add a touch of freshness and complexity. At its heart lies a warm spicy accord featuring cardamom and olibanum, while the base is anchored by woody elements such as patchouli, vetiver, and sandalwood, alongside powdery and balsamic notes that lend depth and texture.
Apply Modern Poet to pulse points for a balanced experience. The gin and citron notes are bright but fleeting, so focus on the heart and base notes by layering slightly more than usual. This fragrance is best suited for daytime wear as it maintains a crisp and fresh profile.
