Launched in 2018 by Chloé, Nomade is a chypre floral fragrance created by perfumer Quentin Bisch. It stands out as a contemporary interpretation of the classic chypre style, blending new materials from Givaudan with traditional accords. The composition opens with bright citrus and fruity notes like Mirabelle plum, bergamot, lemon, and peach, before transitioning into a heart of freesia, jasmine, and rose. The base layers in oakmoss, patchouli, amberwood, white musk, and sandalwood to create an earthy, mossy finish that feels both familiar and updated.
Nomade is praised by critics for its ability to modernize the chypre genre while maintaining its classic character. However, some enthusiasts find the Mirabelle plum note overpowering, perceiving it as synthetic and overwhelming.
