The story behind the bottle.
Papier Carbone by Ormaie, launched in 2018, is a fragrance that balances the sharpness of star anise and cardamom with the warmth of nutmeg and patchouli. The composition opens with bright bergamot and clary sage before diving into the rich aroma of coffee and lavender. This interplay between fresh and warm spices creates a dynamic scent that feels both crisp and enveloping, much like the contrast between the cold press of carbon paper against warm ink.
Apply one or two sprays to allow the star anise top notes to fade gracefully into the deeper layers of nutmeg and patchouli. The scent blooms slowly but lingers close to the skin, making it perfect for a day that transitions seamlessly into evening.
