Launched in 2006, Orris Noir by Ormonde Jayne was crafted by perfumer Geza Schoen as an Oriental Spicy fragrance for both women and men. The composition opens with a vibrant blend of pink pepper, coriander, and bergamot, which cuts through the warmth of iris, jasmine sambac, and guaiac wood in the heart. The base notes of myrrh, Chinese cedar, incense, and patchouli create an enveloping warmth that lingers long after application.

Start with one or two sprays — the pink pepper and coriander top notes are bright but fade within an hour. The base notes will gradually unfold over several hours, so let them develop naturally for maximum impact.
