Launched in 2022, Prada Paradoxe by Prada was created by Nadège Le Garlantezec, Antoine Maisondieu, and Shyamala Maisondieu. It is a fragrance that opens with the bright freshness of tangerine and bergamot, giving way to a heart of orange blossom and jasmine sambac that reads as both floral and slightly powdery. The base notes of bourbon vanilla, amber, white musk, and benzoin create a warm, enveloping sweetness that is both comforting and alluring.
Prada Paradoxe quickly became an instant bestseller for the brand after launching with an Emma Watson-fronted campaign, where she also made her directorial debut on the short film. It has won critical acclaim, including the Fragrance Foundation's 2023 'Fragrance of the Year – Women’s Prestige' award. However, its reception is mixed: while many wearers report frequent compliments, some critics find its heavy vanillic-musk sweetness somewhat generic.
