Private Teahouse, created by perfumer Sandy Wong and launched in 2024, invites you into a sensory retreat. The opening smoke and lapsang souchong tea notes create an immediate sense of warmth and comfort, reminiscent of a secluded teahouse surrounded by nature. This smoky-woody base is balanced by the sweetness of peach and cacao, adding layers of complexity that evoke the rich flavors of handcrafted desserts. Apply Private Teahouse directly to pulse points for a more intimate experience. The smoke and lapsang souchong notes are potent, so one or two sprays will suffice. Allow it to develop on your skin for about an hour before venturing out; the base notes of cedarwood and labdanum will ensure longevity throughout the day.

Sandy Wong grew up in Sydney, Australia, curious about her mother's miniature perfume collection from Hong Kong. She holds a PhD in Chemistry and began experimenting with scent during her doctoral studies, eventually combining her interest in perfumery with her love of tea to found Chasing Scents in 2021, an independent Sydney-based perfume house that builds fragrances around teas, natural extracts, and resins, rooted in cultural heritage with a modern sensibility.
