Launched in 2020, Rozu by Aesop is a Floral Green fragrance crafted by perfumer Barnabe Fillion. The composition opens with the vibrant freshness of bergamot and bitter orange, giving way to an intricate heart of rose and jasmine that intertwines with shiso and pink pepper for a spicy contrast. The base notes of guaiac wood, vetiver, sandalwood, myrrh, and musk create a warm, earthy foundation that grounds the scent in its natural essence.

Rozu has a moderate sillage and longevity, so one or two sprays are sufficient to capture its essence throughout the day. It's best applied to pulse points for a more intimate experience rather than filling a room.

Barnabé Fillion trained in photography before pursuing a thesis on synesthesia and studying naturopathy, phytotherapy, and aromatherapy. He worked as Aesop's in-house perfumer for a decade, creating all of the brand's fragrances and its first candles, including the reimagined Marrakech Intense Eau de Toilette. His 'Biography' series with artist Anicka Yi reconstructed the imagined scent-personalities of historical figures, and he later founded Arpa, a multi-platform project combining scent, music, and architecture.
