Launched in 2023, Rule of 72 by 27 87 is a woody spicy fragrance that captures the essence of contemporary sophistication. Perfumer Gaël Montero has crafted an intricate composition with saffron and cardamom adding vibrant spice notes to the top, while agarwood (oud) and leather bring a rich earthy warmth to the base. The middle notes of geranium and ylang-ylang create a delicate floral contrast that tempers the smoky oud and vetiver, resulting in a complex yet balanced scent.

Of French-Spanish heritage and raised in Madrid, Gaël Montero studied perfumery at Montpellier University and was mentored by perfumer Jordi Fernandez in Barcelona. After working as a Perfumer Assistant at Procter & Gamble, he joined Givaudan's Perfumery School in Paris, rising from lab assistant to junior perfumer, and now works as a perfumer for Memo Paris, based in Dubai.
