The composition opens with bright citrus notes from Italian mandarin and blood orange, creating an immediate freshness that is both energizing and uplifting. This top layer is soon complemented by the warmth of pink pepper and petitgrain, which adds a spicy kick without overpowering the citrus. As the fragrance settles into its heart, saffron emerges with a distinctive earthy floral quality, supported by ylang ylang and jasmine. The base notes of oak, benzoin, tonka, and labdanum ground the composition in rich woody and sweet accords, ensuring that Saffron Mandarin remains intriguing from start to finish.
