Launched in 1985 by Lancôme and crafted by perfumer Jean-Louis Sieuzac, Sagamore is a chypre fragrance that weaves together aromatic and spicy elements with warm amber tones. The composition opens with clary sage, lavender, and citrus notes like bergamot and lemon, providing a fresh and crisp beginning. This transitions into the heart of carnation, jasmine, ginger, cinnamon, and geranium, adding layers of complexity and warmth. Finally, it settles on a base of sandalwood, amber, musk, patchouli, styrax, benzoin, and vanilla, creating a rich and enveloping finish that is both powdery and woody.

Application Tips
Apply Sagamore in light layers to allow its complex accords to unfold naturally. The citrus top notes are bright but fleeting, so it’s best to let the heart and base notes take center stage after about an hour.
