Yann Vasnier crafted Santal Blush for Tom Ford in 2011, weaving together a composition that balances bold spices with the warmth of sandalwood and oud. The fragrance opens with a spicy blend of cinnamon, caraway, fenugreek, and carrot seeds, creating an immediate sense of complexity and depth. This sharpness is then softened by ylang-ylang, jasmine, and rose, adding layers of floral sweetness that cut through the initial heat. The base notes of sandalwood, benzoin, Virginia cedar, musk, and agarwood (oud) ground the scent in a rich, powdery warmth that lingers long after the first spritz.
