Launched in 2025 by Montblanc, Star Oud is a creation by perfumer Gaël Montero that blends warm spiciness with rich woody notes. The fragrance opens with an aromatic burst of cinnamon and oud, creating a tension between the sharp heat and deep richness. This contrast is further enhanced by a powdery heart that softens the edges, allowing the base notes of amber to emerge as a warm, enveloping presence.

How It Wears
Application Tips
Apply Star Oud sparingly — the cinnamon top notes are potent and can be overwhelming if used too heavily. The base notes bloom after about an hour, so one or two sprays will provide a balanced warmth throughout the day.

Founding perfumer · 26 fragrances
Of French-Spanish heritage and raised in Madrid, Gaël Montero studied perfumery at Montpellier University and was mentored by perfumer Jordi Fernandez in Barcelona. After working as a Perfumer Assistant at Procter & Gamble, he joined Givaudan's Perfumery School in Paris, rising from lab assistant to junior perfumer, and now works as a perfumer for Memo Paris, based in Dubai.
