Coffee blossom is doing something unexpected here — despite the name it smells more green-floral than roasted, and it gives the honeysuckle and freesia heart a slightly bitter edge instead of straightforward sweetness. Quince keeps the fruit tart rather than jammy at the top, alongside magnolia and lemon for a clean opening. Teak wood and sandalwood settle things by the end without adding much weight, so the composition reads more curious than conventionally pretty even as it dries down.
