Coffee and tobacco do the heavy lifting here, and they're an unusual enough pairing that Inside for Men doesn't read like a typical fresh-spicy men's fragrance. The coffee isn't sweet or roasted-dessert — it's bitter and a little dusty, closer to grounds than to a café — and it sits directly against dry tobacco leaf rather than a sweetened pipe-tobacco accord. Yuzu and basil open things on a brighter, greener note, but they're a brief prelude; white pepper adds bite through the middle before the teak and cashmere wood settle everything into a smooth, musky finish.
