Launched in 2021 by Dolce&Gabbana, Velvet Black Patchouli is crafted by perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux as an Oriental Woody fragrance for unisex wearers. The composition begins with the striking brightness of blood orange and davana, adding a fresh contrast to the rich depths of patchouli and tonka bean. Clary sage and coriander bring a warm spiciness that rounds out the heart, while vanilla and caramel lend an enveloping sweetness to the base.
