Xian by Ormonde Jayne, launched in 2020 and crafted by perfumer Céline Ripert, is a fragrance that balances fresh spicy notes with warm woody accords. The composition opens with black pepper and nutmeg, creating an initial burst of energy and freshness. This lively top note gives way to the earthy warmth of cedar and sandalwood, grounded further by musky undertones and the subtle sweetness of rhubarb. Céline Ripert, born and raised in the South of France, studied chemistry and apprenticed at the MANE Perfumery School in Bar-sur-Loup, starting in the chromatography department. Over more than twenty years working in Grasse, including at Mane, Brocard, and Blood Concept, she developed her craft before founding her own house, NANA.M, in 2015.
