The story
Early in his career he contributed to mainstream successes including Armani Code and Versace Crystal Noir, before seeking greater creative freedom in niche perfumery, working for Givaudan and later as VP senior perfumer at Takasago. He is now the founder and perfumer at ALOE — Antoine Lie Olfactive Experience — in Paris, and has created unconventional fragrances for houses including Etat Libre d'Orange, oneofthose, and Nu Be, often built around unexpected materials like vinyl, metal, and ether alongside vetiver, leather, and iris.
