Christian Plesch, born in 1971, is a Hamburg-based perfumer who moves between classical training and a playful, punk-tinged sensibility.
He is the founder of the independent label NASENGOLD and a member of the perfumery team at Düllberg Konzentra in Hamburg, after coming to perfumery via a detour into painting and training in the German tradition at Haarmann & Reimer in Holzminden. Early in his career he moved to Paris as a junior perfumer, where Mark Buxton mentored him and sharpened his sense for bold, modern structure.
