Jimmy Bodin is a French perfumer who came from a modest background but inherited a love of luxury perfume from his mother, after whose maiden name, Jousset, his main brand is named.
Unable to afford a second bottle of an oriental fragrance he had fallen in love with, he taught himself to detect and identify perfume ingredients, eventually cataloguing every material he could find, no matter how rare, and channeling that self-taught knowledge into composing scents he couldn't find on the market.
