The story

He is widely regarded as the founder of modern perfumery for pioneering the use of synthetic materials in works such as Fougère Royale, which established an entire olfactory family. His bestselling Le Parfum Idéal was later described by fellow perfumer Robert Bienaimé as a masterpiece of fragrant equilibrium that would never be surpassed.
