Yves's story

The story

His crowning achievement came in 1992, when he co-created the fragrance Angel with Olivier Cresp for designer Thierry Mugler — a groundbreaking blend of patchouli, praline, red berries, and vanilla that introduced the world to the modern gourmand genre. Angel became France's best-selling perfume and one of the top-selling fragrances of all time in the United States, with the perfume and its companion Alien together accounting for $280 million in annual sales.
