Named after the Hermès flagship store at 24 Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré in Paris, 24 Faubourg was launched in 1995 and created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. This fragrance is a dense, opulent composition that feels both old-fashioned and modern. It opens with the brightness of citrus and bergamot but quickly transitions into an elaborate floral heart of ylang-ylang, orange blossom, gardenia, jasmine, and iris. The base notes of amber, sandalwood, patchouli, and vanilla add warmth and depth, creating a scent that is richly textured yet understated.
Reportedly one of Princess Diana's favorite fragrances in her later years, 24 Faubourg is often praised for its opulent complexity. It stands out as more serious and less transparent than many contemporary florals, making it a true emblem of Hermès' sophisticated heritage.

Application Tips
Apply two sprays to pulse points for a lasting effect. The fragrance develops over time, so it’s best to let it settle on your skin before heading out. Avoid heavy layering as the composition is already dense and opulent.

“I compose for the skin, not the blotter. A fragrance only truly exists when it meets warmth.”
Maurice Roucel is a master perfumer at Symrise whose prolific career spans five decades and hundreds of fragrances. Born in Saint-Girons in the French Pyrenees, he is celebrated for his ability to create scents of extraordinary sensuality — compositions that caress the skin and linger in memory. His masterpieces include Guerlain's Insolence, Lancôme's Trésor Midnight, and the landmark 24 Faubourg for Hermès. Roucel works with an almost musical sensibility, building fragrances in waves of tension and release.
