Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2021 by Aesop, Miraceti is a fragrance that balances the freshness of aquatic and aromatic notes with the warmth of spicy and woody accords. Perfumer Barnabe Fillion crafts an intriguing composition that opens with black pepper and pimento leaf, creating a sharp contrast against the marine and seaweed elements. As it evolves, ambrette and styrax add a subtle muskiness, while myrrh and cedar anchor the scent in earthy depth.
Miraceti is best applied in layers — start with one spray and allow it to build on skin over time. The aquatic notes are bright but fleeting, so a second pass after an hour will ensure the warm spiciness and woodsy base come through.
