Détour Noir by Al Haramain Perfumes, launched in 2021, is an Oriental Spicy fragrance that has gained widespread recognition for its remarkable similarity to Parfums de Marly's Layton. The composition opens with a vibrant burst of apple and lavender before transitioning into a heart of jasmine, violet, and bergamot. The base notes of vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood, cardamom, pepper, guaiac wood, and geranium create a warm and spicy profile that is both comforting and intriguing. This fragrance has become particularly popular in budget-fragrance communities for its close resemblance to the more expensive Layton, offering a fraction of the price without compromising on quality.
Given its long-lasting nature and moderate sillage, one or two sprays are sufficient. Allow it to develop on your skin for about 30 minutes before fully appreciating its depth. This fragrance is particularly well-suited for cooler evenings or indoor settings where the warm base notes can truly shine.
