Ajwad by Amouage, launched in 2012, is a bold and enveloping fragrance that channels the rich heritage of Oman. The composition opens with rose and oud, creating an immediate tension between floral sweetness and woody depth. This contrast is further emphasized by a powdery heart that softens the edges before amber and woody notes anchor it firmly in warmth and sensuality. Ajwad is not just a scent but a sensory journey through layers of complexity.
Given its enormous sillage and eternal longevity, one or two sprays are more than enough to make a statement. The scent projects powerfully from the start but takes time to reveal its full depth, so apply it well before you need to step out.
