Launched in 1978, Anais Anais by Cacharel was the brand's debut fragrance and took nearly 18 months to develop with four perfumers from Firmenich. It quickly became a defining scent for young women in the early 1980s, known for its blend of white florals and green notes that capture both freshness and warmth. The composition opens with an effervescent mix of citrus and aromatic herbs before transitioning to a lush bouquet of lilies, jasmine, and ylang-ylang, anchored by earthy woods and incense. Anais Anais won the Fragrance Foundation's 'Fragrance of the Year – Women’s Prestige' award in 1982 and is credited with helping usher in the wave of white-floral fragrances that dominated the late-1970s and early 1980s.
