Launched in 2020 and crafted by Russian Adam for Areej Le Doré, Cuir de Russie is a Leather fragrance that marries the intense animalic notes with rich florals and powdery musk. The composition opens with Birch Tar from the early 1900s, an ingredient steeped in vintage charm, followed by antique violet attar from the same era, Blue Lotus accord, and Rose Absolute. The base is a blend of Beaver Tail Oil, Natural Wild Siberian Deer Musk, and Amber Accord, creating a deeply textured scent that reads as both historical and modern.
Cuir de Russie is an unconventional garment perfume, designed to be used on cloth rather than skin due to its distinctive formula featuring traces of crude birch tar.
