The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2011 by Azzaro, Decibel is a fragrance that captures the essence of modern Mediterranean luxury. Created by perfumer Christophe Raynaud, it opens with an aldehydic and aromatic accord, featuring notes like Amalfi Lemon and incense, which create a vibrant yet warm atmosphere. The heart introduces a soft spicy note with hints of violet, while the base settles into rich tonka bean, vanilla, and vetiver, giving off smoky and balsamic undertones. This composition is designed to evoke the confident, sensual energy that Azzaro has become known for.
Given its long-lasting nature, Decibel requires only one to two sprays. The aldehydic top notes are bright but fade quickly, making way for the richer base notes like vanilla and vetiver. Best worn during cooler evenings or in warmer climates where it can truly shine without becoming too heavy.
