The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2016 by Issey Miyake and created by perfumer Christophe Raynaud, L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Noir Ambre is a composition that blends the warmth of amber with the richness of leather and spices. The fragrance opens with saffron and cinnamon, creating an immediate sense of depth and complexity, before settling into a heart of coriander and papyrus, adding a dry earthiness to the mix. The base notes of cedar, vetiver, vanilla, and tonka bean create a grounding warmth that lingers throughout the day.
Apply L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Noir Ambre with two sprays to allow ample time for the rich base notes to develop. The warm spices are most noticeable initially but give way to a deeper, more complex scent over several hours. Best suited for evenings or cooler weather when its warmth can be fully appreciated.
